Marian Manor Residents Participate In Honor Flight
Honor Flight Historic Triangle Virginia is an organization whose goal is to take every World War II veteran in the Hampton Roads and Richmond areas on a day trip to Washington, DC, to visit the WWII Memorial built in their honor. Several Marian Manor Veteran residents have participated. Honor Flight is a nonprofit organization and contributions are always welcome. To learn more, visit www.honorflighthtva.org or download the brochure.
Marian Manor is involved in a variety of community outreach programs throughout the greater Hampton Roads area. We also host bi-weekly education seminars for seniors and their families and offer caregiver support groups for those whose lives have been touched in some way by Alzheimer’s and dementia illnesses. In this way, we believe we can understand and serve better those who have been entrusted to our care.
We are proud to honor our military heroes at our Annual Veteran’s Day Celebration and Annual Flag Day Celebration. We also provide support through educational outreach programs that focus on issues that affect veterans and their families, such as veteran’s benefits and the Aid and Attendance program available to World War II, Korean and Vietnam War Veterans.
